2023 Graduate Program Overview

Key Dates

Applications Open – 25 July 2022

Applications Close – 28 August 2022
Asessment Centre – 26-29 September 2022
Program Start Date – 1 February 2023

Assessment Process

The assessment process will comprise of four steps:

 

1. Online testing | Graduates reaching this stage will be asked to complete online tests, which will measure aptitude and behaviours that align to the unique needs of the Arnott’s Graduate Program.  Once you have completed these assessments, you will receive feedback on how you went.

 

2. Video Interview | Following online testing, aligned candidates will be invited to record a video in response to a series of questions.

 

3. Assessment Centre | We will be conducting our assessment centres online in a virtual environment.  The Assessment Centres will involve a group activity and an interview.

 

4. Pre-Employment Checks | The final part of our process will be to conduct reference checks, pre-employment medicals, and confirm your right to work in Australia or New Zealand.

For our 2023 intake we have opportunities across Australia and New Zealand in the following locations:

  • NSW – North Strathfield
  • NSW – Huntingwood
  • VIC – Shepparton
  • SA – Marleston

  • NEW ZEALAND – Auckland

Duration

The 2023 Graduate Program will commence in February and run for 9-months.  

Graduates who demonstrate high performance and make a significant impact will be offered permanent positions.

Supply Chain

A career in Supply Chain at The Arnott’s Group offers a breadth of experience and offers an opportunity to experience an end-to-end supply chain, which consists of Quality, Engineering, Supply and Demand Planning, Safety, Logistics, Sustainability and Continuous Improvement.

Positions available:

 

Quality Graduate – Shepparton VIC

 

As a Graduate in The Arnotts Group Quality team, you will be involved in:

 

  • Ensuring that all products are manufactured to the highest food safety and quality standards;
  • The continuous improvement of our internal processes and systems to continue to meet the needs of the business, customers and consumers;

Quality Graduate – Adelaide SA 

 

As a Graduate in The Arnotts Group Quality team, you will be involved in:

 

  • Ensuring that all products are manufactured to the highest food safety and quality standards;
  • The continuous improvement of our internal processes and systems to continue to meet the needs of the business, customers and consumers;

Degrees: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Food Technology, Food Science, Agricultural Science, or related fields

 

 

Procurement Graduate – Sydney NSW

 

As a Graduate in The Arnott’s Group Procurement team, you will be involved in either of the two roles based on your background:

 

  • Category Management – Fulfill the role of a junior buyer in the team. This includes supplier performance, pricing, contracts, competitive tenders, delivering enabler/cost-out initiatives, building a more sustainable supply base, learn business systems (SAP), and support senior buyers in the delivery of better business outcome. You can expect to deal with up to $10M worth of ingredients in this role!
  • Supplier Portal Activation – The Arnott’s Group has planned a $0.5M IT build to go live in Feb 2023. This is a great opportunity for a graduate to assist with supplier on-boarding into this new system and enhance the efficiency of our procurements systems and business performance. Associated activities include maintaining contacts, updating pricings, providing certifications and scorecards, and presenting centralised information to our 1600 suppliers.

Supply Planning Graduate – Sydney NSW

 

As a Graduate in The Arnott’s Group Supply Chain team, you will be involved in:

 

  • Project management – Safety stock analysis by category, pack group or SKU resulting in a template that can be implemented – which can work to improve service by both increasing / reducing safety stock at differing times of the year.
  • Logistics and deployment responsibilities.
  • NPD set up and project meetings.
  • Streamlining weekly reporting.

 

Degrees: Supply Chain & Logistics, Business, Commerce, Engineering International Business, Agriculture, Economics, IT, or related fields

 

 

Logistics Graduate – Sydney NSW

 

As a Graduate in The Arnott’s Group Logistics team, you will be involved in:

 

  • Delivering change management at our new state of the art automated warehouse which starts operations in FY23. This is multi-faceted across “Pulse Points” displaying real time system performance, historical KPI data, linking into key CCTV vision.
  • Bringing online visual operational standards across both GMP and Safety.
  • Reviewing currently out-sourced activity to our 3PL and looking to in-source therefore delivering savings to plan.
  • Implementing “macros” into some of the key reporting activities undertaken by the team.
  • Note: Travel between our Western Sydney and Inner West site will be required.

 

Degrees: Supply Chain & Logistics, Business, Commerce, Engineering International Business, Economics, IT, or related fields

 

Engineering

 

Positions available:

 

Work, Health, Safety & Environment (WHS&E) Graduate x 2 – Brisbane QLD & Shepparton VIC

 

As a graduate in the WHS&E team, you will be involved in: 

 

  • Assessment and Management of risk in Hazardous Areas / Combustible Dust, Dangerous Goods / Chemical Management, Plant Management and Machine Safety
  • Capital review and design support to mitigate risk
  • Human / Machine interaction / interface
  • Critical Risk Management onsite

 

Degrees: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related fields.

 

 

Software Engineering Graduate – Adelaide SA 

 

As a Graduate in The Arnotts Group Manufacturing team, you will be involved in: 

 

  • Developing and building on existing programs related to manufacturing excellence
  • Continuous improvement of data and program support (including use of IT)
  • Productivity projects
  • Reliability/maintenance performance and process review
  • Site scheduling/planning and inventory control.

 

Degrees: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

 

 

Engineering Graduate – Shepparton VIC & Sydney NSW

 

As a Graduate in The Arnotts Group Engineering & Safety team, you will be involved in:  

 

  • Improving our manufacturing processes through loss & waste analysis, implementing lead methodologies, value stream mapping, and bottleneck analysis
  • Responding to technical trouble shooting
  • Developing operational and technical standards / instructions
  • Championing the development and implementation of production management system
  • Validation and verification processes

Occupational Therapy / Physiotherapy

Marketing

Being a part of our Marketing team means becoming a custodian of some of Australia’s most iconic brands. Consumers first is our secret ingredient, as our Marketing team delights our consumers by driving brand awareness, leading to increased household penetration!

As a Graduate in The Arnott’s Group Marketing team, you will be involved in:

 

  • End-to-end management of iconic brands in new innovative portfolios.
  • Supporting brand strategy, execution and evaluation, compelling communications, and activations.

Ecommerce Graduate – Sydney NSW

 

As a commercially savvy and highly analytical Graduate in The Arnott’s Group Ecommerce team, you will be involved in:

 

  • eCategory Management – Manage, interrogate and report on key category opportunities and performance. Make recommendations based on data-led insights.
  • Digital Shelf Management – Support the optimisation of Arnott’s Group digital touchpoints across retailer online stores and help Arnott’s to deliver the ultimate digital journey.
  • Customer Activation – Collaborate with customer teams and brand owners to develop successful online ‘’always on’’ as well as NPD activation plans across key retailers.
  • Product Experience Management – Implement content for online retail environments and seek ways to innovate to improve the digital path-to-purchase.
  • Non-Grocery Channels Support – Collaborate with customer teams to provide analysis using PowerBI platform, together with category & range review support.

Social & Content Graduate – Sydney NSW

 

As a Graduate in The Arnott’s Group Digital, Media & CX Transformation team, you will be involved in:

 

  • Shaping some of Australia’s most iconic local brands through the delivery of social always-on plans, including influencer and partnerships activity, community management and content development
  • Social expansion
  • Support the implementation of influencer strategy:
  • Reporting of social & content performance, leveraging mar-tech
  • Consumer community management
  • Photoshoot co-ordination and design studio workflow management

Brand Management (Meals & Beverages) Graduate – Sydney NSW

 

As a Graduate in The Arnott’s Group Marketing Business team, you will be involved in:

 

  • All aspects of the marketing mix including comms & media implementation, supporting brand strategy, insight generation, innovation development, execution and activation.
  • Market tracking and developing actionable insights to guide decision making
  • Autonomously running winter activation initiatives as part of this action-packed, hands-on role!

  • Work with powerhouse brands like Tim Tam, Shapes, Real Stock, and Farmbake

Customer Team (Sales)

The ANZ Customer team are our front-line leaders who partner with customers on a daily basis so that our much-loved products are on shelves and are available for our consumers to enjoy during all occasions.

Field Sales Automation Graduate– Sydney NSW

 

As a Graduate in the Field Sales team, you will be involved in:

 

  • Revamping the communication sales tools for our in-store field team use.
  • Enhancing our online customer selling tool and interaction with those stores on the appropriate offers and engagement.
  • Working cross functionally with our independent channel sales team and the field sales management team.
  • Supporting the Sales Automation Manager as we integrate new practices and processes for our team linked to Image Recognition technology.

As a Graduate in Market Insights team, you will be involved in:

 

  • Measuring and reporting on marketplace performance to drive insight and action

  • Transforming Culture – Supporting the delivery or diversity and inclusion activities on site. Working with the P&C Manager to deliver and execute key cultural transformation activities, facilitate workshops and develop/deliver progress reporting to Site Leadership Tea
  • Operational Delivery – Collating and presenting HR data and metrics to be presented at weekly site Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings. Working with the P&C Manager to support the delivery of key operational HR activities across all shifts. The Arnott’s Finance team is responsible for accounting and reporting, tax and treasury, managing controls and risks, and strategic financial management, where data is turned into insights which enable business decisions to be made.

  • Reporting, Planning & Control – Monitor and review Quarterly forecasts, Planning Cycles and the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Business Partnering – Business partner the Sales Team to evaluate and improve performance.
  • Revenue Management – Support the long-term Revenue Growth Agenda for Australia Biscuits & Campbells.
